OK, it would be sort of
{ C-@ #set a mark
RET
C-p
C-x C-x}
however that would be bound to a RET substitute, like the C-o concept
--- pretty good ... but I want a little bit more ... I want a C-p like
command that puts me back where I was when I hit RET ... however I
fear such place info is not kept .... I just tried binding the above
C-@ ... sequence to a keyboard macro --- no go. [And by the way, if it
did work it would be nice if I could dump this keyboard macro to the
stdout in a form that could be appended to .inputrc ... any way or
must write it out again longhand??]
Regarding ^Here^here stuff: that's that csh family of um, printing
terminal :-) commands... I turned that all off as I was tired of "!" bombs...
Neat, but I want a "visual" solution.
