I'm curious what's status of the suspend bug in bash. A while ago I
posted a patch which fixes handling of suspend command. The patch is at
http://www.eax.com/patches/bash.diff
Otherwise when we execute 'suspend' command at 'login' shell (for example
'xterm', kterm, and many other virtual terminals) it will hang them. this
patch fixes it making bash use 'SIGTSTP' instead of 'SIGSTOP'.
right now I find myself having to patch bash manually each time I upgrade
system :(
