Unfortunately I really don't have the time right now. I still have to test a
patch to Boost.Python implementing GCC visibility support which I promised Dave
Abrahams some time ago. I may get some time to do this during reading week
which
is in November.
I've reopened the bug and stuck your suggestion in my TODO list. If you're fine
with implementation waiting until probably November, I'll get that patch to you
then.
