I spotted the following line in the objdump output:
81 bd 38 08 0c 2e 01 cmpl $0xd74e201,0x2e0c0838(%ebp)
Instruction is:
81 /7 id CMP r/m32,imm32
Mod in bd is 10b, RM in bd is 101b therefore 38 is SIB byte.
Instruction should be:
cmpl (%edi+%eax+0xd74e201),imm32
