I am not sure if this will help, but the uploaded patch allows the link to
succeed.

I am not a PowerPC expert, so most of my investigation was guesswork.  But it
looked to me like there are some special cases where DT_RELR relocs do not need
to be created and the if-statement that was checking for these cases needed to
be tweaked.  This is what the patch does.   Whether the resulting linked binary
actually works however is something that I have yet to test.
