Compiling the patched version was a little tricky due to bootstrapping
issues (since parse-gram.c needs to be regenerated), but I managed it.

Once I had arranged to get up-to-date parse-gram.c and scan-code.c files in
place, it seemed to work -- 177 tests passed, 2 skipped.
