Thanks for your reply.

I'm not sure this is a bug in BerkeleyDB.  I don't use TCL (perl's my
poison;) & only compiled support for it to run the test suite which was
successful.  If you can suggest another GPLed application which used
BerkeleyDB I could compile that and link it against BerkeleyDB with &
without TCL support.  That would help to isolate the problem to one of the
packages.

Anyway as I said this is not an issue for me, I don't need TCL support and
have a working cfengine but I'm happy to help track down the cause of the
bug.

Thank you for the bug report.  Unfortunately, we don't know
anything at all about debugging cfengine (although with the
additional information about loading Tcl, it almost sounds as
if it's a shared library problem)!

We're happy to assist anyone that wants to look further into
this problem, but I don't think we know enough to be the lead
debuggers.  Please let us know if we can help.
