The pristine autoconf from 2.1.9 works fine for Debian's libdb stuff
which *does* live in /usr/{lib,include}. Can you send me the
appropriate portion of a sh -x ./configure --with-berkeley-db=/usr
[--other-flags-as-appropriate]? If you can get it to run 'set' before
and after the berkeleydb snippet, that would be very useful.
