Would it be possible to get a cfengine-commits list set up, so that we
can all keep track of patches which have been applied? That would be
very helpful for monitoring forthcoming changes.

Having never read any user docs for SVN, I can still quite easily manage
to use it out of the box to work on a repository. It's syntax is pretty
much identical to CVS for the basics (checkout, commit, etc), so in that
respect migration is fairly easy. Obviously branches and tags are going
to be more complicated, but presumably not a vast leap of imagination
for basic use.
