Mine metacity is:
# metacity --version
metacity 2.14.3
Copyright (C) 2001-2002 Havoc Pennington, Red Hat, Inc., and others

I am currently using Fedora 5 with all recent updates installed.

I also tried to check maybe this is some clipping problem. But the broken
initial view does not change if I replace cairoClip by empty method.
