This isn't exactly "my" box; applying patches to it really isn't something I can do on a whim. If we drop 4.0* I can move to our 5.x boxes, but for now the box I'm building on is the same one we use to build our products, so I have to stick with it as-is. (At least it isn't the even-older 4.0F which is supposed to be what we actually *support*, and doesn't have [v]snprintf()!)
