how to add space to a partition???

Hi,
I currently have seven mount points on id's /dev/sda1 through /dev/sda7 ,
i wish to resize partition /dev/sda3 which is of 4 gb to 10 gb.Can you help
me in adding space to existing mount point::

eg:

I have a mount point  /dev/sda3  mounted on  /mnt/CVS of 4gb , now i wana
add some more space to this mount point.
I have my datafiles in this mount point, so i am keen to keep this data as
such .
