Hi,
there are new bugfixes for gnu cpio available. Can you build new
binaries please.
Unfortunately, those fixes are only in CVS and, as a rule, we don't build
CVS versions of packages (for the reason that the authors are still
in mid-development on that package and it may not be stable).
The last stable release of GNU cpio - version 2.6 - was in December 2004
and we do have that release on our site at
http://hpux.connect.org.uk/hppd/hpux/Gnu/cpio-2.6/
I would suggest that you lobby the cpio developers to release a new stable
version, since the current one is nearly 2 years old and they have new code
that would fix issues users have had with the current 2.6 release.
