ddd 3.3 on AIX 4.3.3 / VAC++ 5.0 ...

Hi,

I have got a problem running DDD 3.3 on AIX 4.3.3.  I have used IBM Visual 
Age C++ 5.0 compiler to build DDD.  The build itself was OK, except some 
minor problems but as soon as i installed it, i could not get it work.

After DDD starts, it suspends and there is no way to wake it up.  For 
example, if i type:

    ddd  --gdb

Then ddd shows a main window to me.  It tries to start GDB, after 5 or more 
minutes waiting i interrupt it.  It will say 'GDB is still busy'.  The same 
problem is for all other debuggers: dbx, jdb, perl.

~/.ddd/log says:

Any ideas?  I am still using DDD 3.2.1 and think i am to keep it for a while
