Can a run ddrescue on a subdirectory tree only?

I have an 8TB Drive atd it will take long to copy, can ddrescue be made focus
on a directory tree instead that the entire drive?

Ddrescue can only read from one file or device at a time. See

http://www.gnu.org/software/ddrescue/manual/ddrescue_manual.html#Invoking-ddrescue
------------------------------------------------------------
The format for running ddrescue is:

     ddrescue [options] infile outfile [mapfile]

infile and outfile may be files, devices, or partitions.

Antonio.
