Failing Test in findutils-4.2.16

Dear findutils developers,

On the Solaris 2.5 and 2.8 systems here, this sequence of steps:

 tar  xfz $ZIPROOT/findutils-4.2.16.tar.gz
 pd ./findutils-4.2.16
 ./configure --prefix=$USRLOCAL --disable-nls
 make
 make LIBS=-lgen   # needed  because 'basename' lives in -lgen on Solaris-2.5.1
 make check

Results in the following failure on both Solaris 2.5.1 and 2.8:
