It's an accident. I had to install; nvidia blobs to test vaapi. While
neither you nor I like binary blobs, others do, so I have to test it
whether I like it or not. It shouldn't have been sucked in as a
dependency, mesa works just fine. I guess I'll have to build new
packages. Not that all packages on getgnash.org are experimental, the
prefered play to get the new release is from your regular distribution
channel.
