This bug report will be sent to the Free Software Foundation,
not to your local site managers!!
In GNU Emacs 20.7.3 (i686-pc-linux-gnu, X toolkit)
of Tue Jun 26 2001 on snail
configured using `configure --with-x-toolkit=yes'
When using VC with a CVS project that resides on a remote host, there
is considerable latency. Example: Hit C-x C-q for
vc-toggle-read-only. This will contact the CVS server before offering
me VC-log buffer. I would like to see messages in order to alert me
to this. Example: "Contacting CVS server..." "Contacting CVS
server...done".
