FW: Changes in Hebrew file processing from gawk-3.1.4 to 3.1.5

Hello,
     I am using gawk to process files which contain Hebrew characters
(mainly to extract characters from specific coloumns and process
them). I've noticed a change when moving from awk 3.1.4 to 3.1.5: using the 
length()
Function I see that with the new version the string ends at the first Hebrew 
character,
While at the older vesion all is ok.

The LANG variable is defined to be: en_US.UTF-8

Any idea what happened?
