Hello, Ralf.

Yes, of course, I am happy if I can help. I didn't dear speaking about this, 
but also thought that it was not really normal. I am happy you catched it 
;-)

address@hidden public_html]# grep --version
grep (GNU grep) 2.5.1

address@hidden public_html]# gdu .
2521140 . (this is 2.5 Gbytes)

The size of the files is very different, it varies a lot.
I cannot tell you up to how much it goes, but if you ave a command to 
suggest I will try it.
I am using CentOS 4 (latest updates applied), on an i386 system.
