I'm experiencing the same situation Johan van der Slikke described.
I've created the png that supposedly is missing in dist/branding, the
main source dir and in browser/branding/unofficial, but it still fails
to build.
Besides commenting the png line in .mozconfig, because I'm getting an
error*, I'm adding the --enable-optimize option to ./configure
*configure: error: --with-system-png won't work because the system's
libpng doesn't have APNG support
