The behavior of the program is inconsistent when the wrong key is
pressed during an exercise. I will explain with an example.
Let's say the lesson is asking for the following line:
asdf
If the first key you press is 'x', it will show this:
asdf
^
That is, it inserts one character and marks it as an error.
However, if the first key you press is 's', it will show this:
asdf
^s
So, one key press has now inserted two characters. It seems to do this
regardless of where in the exercise you are.
As another example, if it's asking for:
fjdk
And you type 'j' and 'k', you will get this:
fjdk
^j^k
That's 4 characters after only 2 key presses.
I've observed this with both the default lessons and the ru.typ
lessons. This really seems like a bug as it can really screw up your
position when typing quickly.
I am using gtypist 2.9.2 in Sabayon 11 out of the Sabayon repositories
with equo install gtypist. I neglected to include this information in
my prior mail which was about not being able to navigate between
exercises while using a non-English keyboard layout.
Thanks for reading.
