Since the current tools assume one manual per directory I'd suggest we
split the various documents into subdirectories (i.e. Neils second
alternative).

This also has the advantage to clean up the doc directory, which
currently contains a mix of a lot of stuff.

I've been away from Guile for some time now (nice work has been done
during that time---thanks everybody!), but I guess I still have the
authority to give you a "go" to perform this change, and if Rob is
willing to include the change in the 1.5 branch, that seems good too.
