The abstraction over file name extensions is handled by Libtool’s
libltdl, used in ‘libguile/dynl.c’. Which version of Libtool/ltdl are
you using? Did you try adding the directory where the ‘.dylib’ is to
$DYLD_LIBRARY_PATH?
