If I run `movemail' from a cronjob, there would be no need to run it
again from emacs, correct? If that is the case, how does rmail know when
to sync?

Got to try that function!! I just set up gnubiff and it quacked when
your current email landed in my mailbox. ;-) I pressed 'g' and voila!
run-with-timer would be over-the-top Western laziness, but I'm going to
give it a shot! ROTFL Thanks again ...
