You seem to be having a problem building the Git project.

This mailing list is for help and bugs in the GNU Make project.
Nothing in your message indicates any kind of bug or issue with GNU
Make: it is working properly.

Please direct your question about problems building Git, to the Git
project mailing lists instead. They should be able to help you!

But, based on the error you received:

> /bin/sh: 1: asciidoc: not found

I would say you need to install the asciidoc program on your system in
order to build the Git documentation.

Cheers!
