       I was trying to pipe something to pipe with tee. But i am getting error
    tee: write error

    app | tee a.log
    Size of file formed is 244137 bytes.

1) please write to bug-coreutils; sh-utils is long obsolete.

2) that generic "write error" makes me think you are either using an old
   version of tee, or a non-GNU version.  GNU tee should report the
   reason for the write error, like "No space left on device".

3) The usual reason for a write error is the filesystem being full, or
   hardware problems with the disk.
