The –files and –joblog qualifiers are not working correctly as far as I can tell when I specify multiple remote hosts to perform a single command on. The a server with parallel installed is running OS RHEL 5.9 2.6.18-308.13.1.el5 #1 SMP Thu Jul 26 05:49:19 EDT 2012 i686 i686 i386 GNU/Linux
--files seems to be acting as a NOOP and –joblog generates only 1 entry instead of 1 entry for each remote host.
Commands like this:
parallel -j 10 -k --files test --tag --nonall --sshloginfile ../prod/atl-2013-q3.txt "date; hostname ; yum check-update --exclude=*vmware* "
I can’t find any files being generated. Where are the log files supposed to be? I would like to be able to tell the program where to put the logfiles. Also if I specify –joblog only 1 entry is created that I can see when the execution completes.
