Greetings!

I am a graduate student from Iowa State University, and I have been using your wonderful program, GNU Parallel, for some research codes. Recently, I hoped to scale up the number of jobs on a local cluster, and I started facing the issue of sleeping jobs/cases which never begin executing. I have tried using the '--timeout' option to at least have my jobs terminate execution, if not completely. I am aware there are many options that could go with GNU parallel, and I already implement several of these, including '--controlmaster', and '--delay' to ease the load.

Would you recommend any suggestion so that I could kick-start all of the cases, and not have some sleep? I'd be grateful if you could kindly assist me with this.

Thank you!

Regards,
