Detecting ATA 100 HDD

Hi,

Can parted detect ATA 100 (ULTRA UDMA 100, UDMA 5, ...) disks?

I'm asking this because i have a ATA 100 disk and i can't use parted on
it...


parted check /dev/hde1
Error: Could not stat device check - No such file or directory.
