Hello,
The online documentation does not mention anything about the parted "root"
disk. Section 1.6 titled "Using a Parted Boot Disk" (e.g.
http://www.gnu.org/software/parted/manual/html_mono/parted.html#SEC7)
sounds as if there is only a boot disk and it contains everything
necessary. But the boot disk in fact asks for the root disk.
