Hello Andrew and all,
I think it is unlikely that I will have any time to contribute
anything to Parted between August 2005 and August 2006.
Thanks very much for letting us (ie, address@hidden) know,
especially in advance! Doesn't happen often :).
Perhaps I should spend the next few months of my Parted time on comments?)
Documentation is always nice.
(I think these standards are terrible.)
If you're referring to source code formatting, the style recommended
there is not a requirement. Although I recall that this wasn't clear in
the past, I think the current text is better.
If you're referring to something else, I'm curious to know what.
you could make Parted a non-GNU project.
>From the point of view of the GNU project, this would be a shame. I
hope it won't happen. (We'd have to look for another maintainer,
duplicating effort, etc., etc.)
Andrew, if no one comes forward from your mail to the mailing list,
could you put a note on the parted web page and savannah page asking for
someone? I've found these are the most effective locations. It is
also worth creating a savannah job listing.
If none of that finds anyone either in a couple of weeks, I can add
listings to other GNU web pages and send queries to some other lists.
Please keep me posted ...
Thanks,
Karl
