Hey,

We have tried every version of parted (starting at 1.6.9 to 1.6.25.1).
We'll try 1.7rc1 as soon as it appears.

The problem started at 1.6.12 and we have it only on HP's

Have you tried GNU Parted version 1.6.25.1?
  If not, please wait for the release of GNU Parted 1.7rc1 (on Sunday or
Monday) and check whether the problem still occurs with this version.
