Well I would not try it in the next one week. I would rather polish
the suspended partition support code. Hence I do not think it would go
in 1.8.0-final. Maybe it would be ready for 1.9.0 or some 1.8.x point
release.

I will announce my progress on parted-devel, when I start off.
