Hello,
I am translating the parted man page (parted 1.8.8) in French, and I
read a section which makes problem :
KNOWN ISSUES
ext3 filesystem resizing does not currently work, please use
resize2fs(8) instead.
Resizing partitions with an ext3 filesystem will not generally
work because of the above issue. Use resize2fs(8) to resize the
filesystem and resize the partition
manually using fdisk(8) or a similar tool. For LVM situations,
you will need to use the LVM commands to resize the LVM elements.
I used several times Gparted liveCD in versions 0.4.1 and 0.3.4-8 and I
already resized ext3 partitions without any problem on that system. It's
why I am asking you if this "Known issue" is still valid, or if it is
not necessary to keep it in the man page.
This issue is not noticed in gparted man page...
Best regards,
Jean-Luc Duflot
