Hi Chris,
Welcome to the FSF Directory mailing list.
The FSF directory uses the "Free Software Foundation Central Login".
It is a different account from GNU Savannah.

has useful resources to get started.
P.S. I am still in the process of getting an email client uploaded to
Debian repositories, but I think I'll set up PGP signing soon.
