As part of working with Renaissance I just fired up my old Turbo Cube to
help me in porting some of the bits back to OpenStep. My memory tells me
this was a nice speedy machine.
In practice building and installing the GNUstep makefiles package gives me
enough time to go to the kitchen, boil a kettle, make a cup of tea and also
make and eat a arther nice cheese sandwich - and its still not finished
yet.
Amazing that we once lived with such slow machines and compilers. I wonder
if one day I will look back on my gigahertz machines and wonder how I ever
develped Objective-C on something that slow.
