mediawiki does not work after second installation

After install a second wiki site, the first site does not work more,
while the second one yes.
It gives the error HTTP 500 - Internal server error.
If I delete the new site and regenerate the LocalSettings.php of the
first site, it comes alive again.
The MediaWiki version is 1.4.7, the PHP version is 4.3.9
(apache2handler) and the MySQL version, 4.1.10a.
Do you know what could happen?
