I meant to mention that I was hoping to use this to helpport a Cocoa app to GNUstep, and I thought a GNUstepper might have donesomething similar. I crossposted to the Darwin mailing list as well.
I began working on a CoreFoundation compatibility layer (really just a bunch of #defines that map CF* functions to NS* methods) with the hopes of getting WebKit to build out-of-the-box with GNUstep. I haven't had time to mess much with it lately, though I'm hoping to get back to it at some point.
