I agree that their layout doesn't map ideally to our bundles. Also I don't think that the set of icons used in KDE/Gnome themes will easily map to GNUstep themes, so attempting to use their layout won't help us. I guess we would need to define mappings beween their icons and ours (and devise rules to handle the cases where the two schemes don't match), so adding a different directory path into that mapping would not make it any more complex.
