What a nice discussion hidden under such a completely incorrect  
subject :-)

BTW: Kontact is an application which has both. KOrganizer,  
KAddressbook etc either work as standalone applications or they can  
be run under the 'Kontact' shell (providing an Outlook like all-in- 
one setup).

IMHO its rather obvious that both approaches have their fans and  
advantages. Would be cool to find a simple way to support both.
