Now I get it. The slogan is to attract developers. But developers usually aren't attracted by short vague sentences, that make them invest their precious time and effort on something they haven't investigated properly. When you choose a technology to implement something, you check first if it can do the job for you.
The slogan isn't meant to work on it's own, of course it need to be backed by an appropriate website and most important good code in GNUstep. If all this isn't there you can take whatever slogan you want - it wouldn't improve anything. But given the fact that - despite the great API - nearly nobody knows about GNUstep or worse - confuses it with WindowMaker (mainly because WM uses a similar logo and creates a GNUstep directory) a good slogan might work at the first - maybe very cursory - contact to GNUstep. A good slogan leaves the visitor with at least a rough idea what GNUstep is all about.
But anyway, take a look at this one : GNUStep - object oriented portability
I like that one too! regards, Lars
