no, I did not consider that option. A patch set is something terrible to
maintain, apply and distribute. Also for the user a patchs et means to have
something against a possibly moving target. Add to that that only recently
work in Backbone resumed, before it was essentially dead, so it made even
less sense.

Did you also consider releasing it as "GAP patch set for Terminal" as
long as there are only minor changes? Renaming the "fork" creates other
confusion, although a different one.
