Hi, Charles Philip Chan wrote:
I think that going beyond 64x64 will be hard because that is our icon size and the grid view supports that. I will try adding 64 support, perhaps at the expense of some strange sizes like "44".. strange to have so many intermediate sizes. Half of the image gets b&w... apparently just in certain Images.1. Missing thumbnails to be auto- generated when entering a directory like any other file manager. 2. Allow much bigger sizes. 48x48 max size previews doesn't really cut it, especially for photos.
Opening them in PRICE shows them fine, that is GS code loads them correctly. That is more stringent, since it is a bug... but why certain images and not, this will need debugging.
A bigger problem is that certain images get artifacts while being resized.. some work some not. The same error can be seen in the "contents inspector" so I think there is a general code issue.
Another question is... the thumbnails are saved as tiffs. I wonder if it is better to switch to JPG: or the thumbnail database will get really large? Or go the extra effort to put an option?
