Who uses GNU Guix? Nix/NixOS has a much larger user base, albeit still small
compared to Debian derivatives.
Among those interested in purely functional package managers, only a small
fraction opts for Guix.
Ideally, one should target overlays for distributions with the largest user
bases before supporting niche distributions or package managers.
So Debian GNU/Linux is a good choice.
