Juste upload a zip file to decompress on an sd card … then Dolibarr is on the place

Yup, but you still need to have a communication layer for the EPT and another communication layer between whatever you use on the Pi and Dolibarr.

I remember looking into it some years ago and the solution was, indeed, to use a Java lib borked into PHP with some abstraction layer.
It was a lot of hassle for very little benefit so our client made the decision to not go that way.
I can get to the archive and retrieve my research from that time if you're really dedicated ;)

You will find nothing in PHP to connect TPE, look for java and I think they have no dolibarr module to communicate with a TPE, perhaps with POS dev (2Byte or ATM)
