The main problem on the 3.8 is to considering than httpunit test is enough

I have no problem to release often BUT we do not drive the release delivery by calendar but by feature and quality

Say “We can delivery a release version because the quality is bad” or because they are nothing really new is a better way than respect free sortware spirit

Or we say that 3.9 is a version for nothing!

Hi everyone,

The free software is all about release early, release often.

No matter how much we wait, there will never be a perfectly ironed out version.

Much less when some want to push major features just before release.

If there's something the 3.8 release taught us, it is that bugs were uncovered too late in the release cycle.

So start testing, reporting and fixing bugs now!

There's already 19 issues that needs fixing:

we have a lot of problems with 3.8, it's disturbing for users. It will be better to spend the next 6 months in order to correct the 3.8 and show that we care about stability (don't be Microsoft..)

As usual, i am a little bit late compared to roadmap for the annoucement of the freez of version 3.9

There was so exiting changes into interface on the road that i would like to have them finished and stable to start the freeze.
It's done.

Starting from today, no new features will be added from PR.

I will create the branch 3.9 soon, but please, everybody, let's start to debug the current develop version ans send fixes.

Version 3.9 should have a better compatibility with external modules that 3.8, so i think you can already check your externale modules are still working.
The Changelog provides information on what was necessarly changed and may create regression for external modules.
