I will find out. For the JCS, I'm sure it's Jabber, Inc. For the JOSS,
it's likely the core team. I don't think any of the core team would have
any problems re-licensing. I'll verify all this, however.

actually, I now agree with you. It would be pointless and a distraction
to have to re-do everything. I'll work on getting the JOSS (or at least
the most important parts of it) GPL'ed.
