I assume you mean buy an official CD ~$20, not from somebody who just burns CDs 
and sells them for ~$5

I use Slackware, and I bought the official box set. However, when I get a
new computer, I am switching to Debian, so...

I have bought 2 Free books (_GNU Autoconf, Automake, and Libtool_, and 
_Texinfo_ I ordered from the FSF) and am planning to order another, maybe flex, 
bison, bash, ELISP, glibc, GCC, depending what I get myself into next ;)

However, getting more serious, there must be a better way than appealing to 
conscience to make FS great business. (NOTE: if you reply seriously to this 
message, you can just snip everything but the previous sentence)

Getting less serious, if you still insist, I'll go to mandrakesoft and order a 
copy, or buy 8.1 from Wal-Mart, just for fun :)
