This distribution technicality issue has gotten a little out of hand.  We 
definitely appreciate the work that you've done on the pnet packages and I 
don't want you to get discouraged.

The reason why Cygwin is currently the default in pnet is that a bit of work 
is still needed to complete the --disable-cygwin mode.  In particular, many 
of the functions in "pnet/support" need to be ported to non-Cygwin mode.  
There may also be a few things in "pnet/engine" that need updating too.

If someone with good Windows programming experience could address this issue 
for the next release, then we'll turn off Cygwin1.dll permanently and solve 
this problem once and for all.  Treecc already uses --disable-cygwin by 
default, and there's no reason why pnet cannot also.
